On September 27, 2023, UBC IT will be decommissioning UBC’s secondary Virtual Private Network (VPN) service, myvpn2.ubc.ca. This service was initiated in 2020 to accommodate for increased demand of VPN when the University rapidly moved to remote teaching, learning and research due to Covid. With the increased capacity of UBC’s main VPN service (vpn.ubc.ca), and the current situation of UBC operating with in-person classes, myvpn2 is no longer required.

If you are currently using the secondary VPN, myvpn2.ubc.ca, please switch your AnyConnect client to UBC’s main VPN, myvpn.ubc.ca to continue connecting remotely. Instructions on how to connect to UBC’s main VPN can be found at https://it.ubc.ca/services/email-voice-internet/myvpn/how-access-myvpn
