Scheduled - Please be advised that on May 27, 2022, 21:00 PT to May 28, 2022, 01:00 PT, Workday will be undergoing scheduled maintenance as part of its weekly service update. During the scheduled maintenance period, Workday will be unavailable for use.

Investigating - We have received reports at the Okanagan Campus that the voicemail message indicator light is malfunctioning, and not illuminating on the phone handset when new voicemail arrives. Technicians have investigated and escalated to our vendor for support. We encourage campus staff to be aware of the issue and periodically check voicemail for new messages whilst the issue is resolved. Further updates will be posted as they become available. Scheduled - The EduCloud Server environment (https://bcnet.educloud.ubc.ca) organizations hosted in Vancouver, Okanagan and Kamloops will be undergoing scheduled maintenance from May 24, 2022, 16:00 PT to June 24, 2022, 16:00 PT.
There are no expected outages to running virtual machines and no impacts to the EduCloud Server Administration Portal.

Scheduled - EduCloud Server environment (https://bcnet.educloud.ubc.ca) will be undergoing scheduled maintenance between May 17th, 2022 and May 29th, 2022.

There will be no impact to running virtual machines. Administrators will be able to manage virtual machines via normal management methods like RDP and SSH, but will not be able to manage them from the EduCloud administration portal.

UBC IT will be performing myVPN maintenance on May 30, 2022, 20:00-22:00 PT.
Users already connected to myVPN should not experience any interruption. New users can still connect as usual.

Voyager servers will undergo maintenance from May 30, 2022, 21:00-22:00 PT.

During this time, users will not be able to login into their My Library accounts or access the public catalogue, which means that renewals, recalls, ASRS and online fines payments will not be available.

The CLF files stored at cdn.ubc.ca will be migrated to AWS for improved availability and performance. No changes are being made to the design or functionality of the CLF files themselves and there is no anticipated disruption of service. This upgrade is scheduled to take place at 7:00 AM Pacific Time May 31 2022. For any questions, please contact web.admin@ubc.ca.

The UBC Hospital Voice Service will be undergoing maintenance on May 31, 2022, 20:00-23:59 PT. No impact is anticipated as a result of this change as calls are expected to take a redundant alternate path during this maintenance window.

The email agent of the Perceptive Content PROD system will undergo maintenance on June 1, 2022, 12:00-13:00 PT. The email agent service won't be available during the outage window. All incoming email messages will remain in their respective inbox and will be processed as soon as the agent is back in service. All other Perceptive Content services won't be affected and it's business as usual.

The SurveyMonkey Apply platform will undergo scheduled maintenance on June 1, 2022, 16:00-19:00 PT. Users will experience an interruption in service for up to 3 hours.

Scheduled - Teknet is working closely with the UBC IT team to assist with network backbone migrations/upgrades for several building networks across campus that currently terminate on an older router pair that is slated for decommission (A21-L21). As part of this decommissioning process, Teknet will be assisting with the migration of the backbone connectivity for the Campus Security network (CSEC01). During this change, the existing backbone links will be physically migrated over to a new router pair (A28-L28), followed by QA and testing. The aim of this project is to improve performance and reliability of the Core Routers and thus improving the overall network performance/reliability of the Campus Security Network.
