UBC Okanagan network in the Upper Campus Health building will undergo network maintenance on Friday, August 19 between 08:00 - 16:00 PT.
During the maintenance, voice, data and wireless services will be periodically unavailable.

UBC Vancouver VoIP phone service will be undergoing maintenance from August 20, 2022, 08:00 PT to August 21, 2022, 06:00 PT. No impact is expected as a result of this change.

BCNET will be performing software upgrades on the Kamloops Q9 core routers on August 21, 2022, 06:00-12:00 PT.

This is expected to impact network connectivity for all EduCloud Server VMs in the Kamloops site as well as EduCloud DR and HA (dr.educloud.ubc.ca) in the Kamloops site. BaaS clients will not be able to connect to the backup target at Kamloops.

BCNET will be performing software upgrades on the Kamloops Q9 core routers on August 21, 2022 from 06:00 to 12:00 PT.

This is expected to impact network connectivity for all EduCloud Server VMs in the Kamloops site as well as EduCloud DR and HA (dr.educloud.ubc.ca) in the Kamloops site. EduCloud Backup BaaS clients will not be able to connect to the baas.educloud.ubc.ca backup target at Kamloops.

Control Tower and IAM Identity Center will be enabled in UBC IT's AWS environment to streamline account governance and access management on August 23, 2022, 09:30-12:00 PT. No end user impact to existing AWS services is expected.

ResNet on the Okanagan campus will undergo maintenance on August 24, 2022, 11:00-1600 PT. During this time, the ResNet wireless network will be periodically unavailable.

Network maintenance will be performed on the Qualtrics survey tool and will result in an application-wide outage of service totaling 60 minutes during a two hour window between 22:00 - 23:59 PT on August 25th. All surveys will be inaccessible to survey owners who want to manage/edit their surveys or retrieve their data. All surveys will also be offline for respondents and any links to active surveys will return an internal server error. All integrations will also be impacted during this service window.

As part of this decommissioning process, Teknet will be assisting with the migration of the backbone connectivity for the Ponderosa Office Annex B (PONB01) on August 11, 2022, 20:30-21:00 PT. During this change, the existing backbone links will be physically migrated over to a new router pair (A28-L28), followed by QA and testing. The aim of this project is to improve performance and reliability of the Core Routers and thus improving the overall network performance/reliability of the Ponderosa Office Annex B network.
