Scheduled - Scheduled maintenance on the EduCloud Server management portal will be performed on Dec 12, 2022, 16:00-17:00 PT.

EduCloud Server management portal will be unavailable during the maintenance window. Virtual machines running on the EduCloud Server service will remain up and running. Administrators will be able to manage virtual machines via both the portal and remote management methods such as RDP and SSH.

Investigating - We are currently experiencing intermittent performance issues with management portal functionality where tasks such as provisioning, changing power states or guest OS customization may take longer than expected. We are currently working on the resolution with the vendor.

Scheduled - The Integration Enablement Centre (IEC) Event Recovery, Daf-Catalog-Manager, Daf-Contract-Manager, Daf-Group-Manager, Rundeck, DeDupe, Person HUB Search & Merge Tools Certificate Renewal and Amazon Web Services (AWS) Maintenance on December 08, 17:00 - 20:00 PT.

During this time there will be a brief interruption to the Event Recovery, Daf-Catalog-Manager, Daf-Contract-Manager, Daf-Group-Manager, Rundeck, DeDupe Tool, Person HUB Search & Merge Tool for up to 15 minutes whilst updates are performed. 

The maintenance will be performed after hours to minimize any potential impacts.   All services will automatically recover.

This change will impact the applications / services below as follows:

UBC IT will conduct network maintenance on December 8, 2022, 19:00 to December 9, 2022, 06:00 PT at all UBC Faculty of Medicine sites province-wide (view the complete list here: Clinical Academic Campuses and Affiliated Regional Centres ).

During this outage, the following services will be impacted:
- Video conferencing in Faculty of Medicine academic learning spaces will be unavailable
- Eduroam wireless internet will be intermittent

Faculty of Medicine faculty, staff, and stakeholders have been notified of this scheduled maintenance. Please contact medit.servicedesk@ubc.ca if further details are needed.

These services will be offline for the first two hours of the maintenance but regular service operations will be available for the remainder of the deployment.

Vancouver Campus network will undergo maintenance from 08:00-20:00 PT on January 7, 2023. During this time, various building networks will lose network connectivity for up to two hours. During this time, VPN access may also be briefly affected.

Resolved - Access to Blue has been restored. The root cause to the issue of survey submission statuses reverting to unsubmitted has been identified. The vendor has applied a fix for the issue, and previously submitted responses are maintained and now properly marked as submitted.

Investigating - SEI surveys outage: We are aware of an issue affecting SEI Instructor surveys for Vancouver-based courses. Previously saved surveys were marked un-submitted, we are working with the vendor to identify the cause. The SEI survey site will be temporarily unavailable while the vendor investigates this.
