The Enterprise Active Directory (EAD) Domain Controllers' LDAP Signing security policies will be enhanced.

This will require addition adjustment to the following use cases' settings for maintaining full functionality if not already configured for TLS\SSL usage.

- Macintosh Outlook client performing recipient lookups (Global Address List) against EAD
- Macintosh workstation logon configured to EAD
- Legacy Windows workstations logon configured to EAD
- Service Applications using EAD service accounts

The email delivery settings on Rundeck PRD will be updated on May 29, 2023 10:00-10:15 PT, and a restart is mandatory to load new configuration. During the restart Rundeck service will be interrupted up to 15 minutes. Rundeck jobs impacted are impacted during the deployment process, and No impact to Mule API,FASMAIL updates from IAM to Workday, CWL creation, SP_PUID lookup.

Web Services' vendor, Platform.sh has scheduled a maintenance window in the Canada (ca-1.platform.sh) region. The host servers that run the region will be rebooted and/or upgraded. Downtime during this maintenance is expected only for a small proportion of the region's projects running on the affected host.

The Okanagan Residence Network will be periodically unavailable on June 1, 2023, from 05:00-06:00 PT for scheduled maintenance. Multiple buildings/locations will be affected. During the maintenance, voice, data, and wireless services will be periodically unavailable in the affected buildings.

Multiple enterprise services will undergo maintenance on Jun 07, 2023, 17:00-20:00 PT, impacting IAM Services,event-recovery-manager,daf-catalog-manager,daf-contract-manager,phub-admin (for merging; impact IAM only),dedupe (dedupe lookup; impact hiring process),rundeck prd,Workday Tenants: PRD. Maintenance will be performed after hours to minimize any potential impacts. During this time there may be a brief interruption to services for up to 5 minutes whilst updates are performed.

There will be a scheduled TouchNet maintenance on June 09, 2023, 00:00-04:00 PT. During this four-hour period, we expect an outage, and TouchNet will not be accessible.

UBC IT will be performing Q9 DNS/DHCP server maintenance on June 10, 2023, 08:00-12:00 PT. For properly configured DNS, there should be no interruptions.

On June 14, 2023, 10:00-11:00 PT, UBC IT will implement a new DMARC (Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting, and Conformance) policy on numerous FASmail email domains. To prevent spoofing, messages sent from these email domain after this date must be sent from FASmail or the UBC Mail Relays. All messages sent from third party servers without SMTP authentication by the FASmail servers or the UBC mail relays may get quarantined by the recipients' mail servers.

Resolved - The issue has been resolved and students can now register or drop courses normally now. The student registration service (Course Schedule) was intermittently impacted on Monday May 15 from 1:00 am to 9:30 am and Tuesday May 16 from 1:00 am to 8:00 am. Students were unable to add/drop courses during these times and students received an error while trying to save changes to their registration.
