The UBC Vancouver Contact Centre service will be undergoing maintenance from August 10, 2022 21:00 PT to August 11, 2022 07:00 PT. No impact is expected as a result of this change.

The EduCloud Server and BaaS backup infrastructure will undergo maintenance on August 11, 2022, 10:00-19:00 PT. During this window, restore operations for virtual machines hosted in EduCloud Server will not be available and BaaS clients will not be able to connect to the backup target device.

Multiple electrical engineering services will undergo maintenance on August 11, 2022, 20:00-22:00 PT

During this downtime there will be a brief interruption to many electrical engineering services, including but not limited to the following, for up to 10 minutes while the maintenance is performed.

All services are expected to automatically recover.

Teknet is working closely with the UBC IT team to assist with network backbone migrations/upgrades for several building networks across campus that currently terminate on an older router pair that is slated for decommission (A21-L21). As part of this decommissioning process, Teknet will be assisting with the migration of the backbone connectivity for the Marine Drive Housing Network (HOUS02) on August 11, 2022, 20:00-20:30 PT. During this change, the existing backbone links will be physically migrated over to a new router pair (A28-L28), followed by QA and testing. The aim of this project is to improve performance and reliability of the Core Routers and thus improving the overall network performance/reliability of the Marine Drive Housing Network.

The wireless team will be performing network maintenance from August 13, 2022, 21:00 - 23:00 PT. During this time, there will be sporadic outages to all WiFi services at the following sites:

- UBC Vancouver
- Robson Square
- Smaller remote sites where UBC IT-managed wireless networks are available.

Scheduled - The Access Control Management System (ACMS) rule engine feeds will be unavailable on August 15, 2022, 09:30-10:30 PT while the ETL server is being replaced.

Scheduled network maintenance on the EduCloud server environment (https://bcnet.educloud.ubc.ca) will be performed on August 15, 2022, 20:00-22:00 PT.

Virtual machines will remain up and running. However, there will be a few minutes of network disruption per network during the maintenance window for NSX edge gateway services and VMs using NSX for network connectivity. Impact will be limited to EduCloud virtual data centers in the Vancouver Point Grey side.

The PCI vCenter will be undergoing scheduled maintenance on August 16, 2022, from 15:00-19:00 PT. There are no expected outages to running virtual machines, and administrators will be able to manage virtual machines through standard remote management methods via RDP and SSH during this time.

There are no expected outages to running virtual machines and no impacts to the Administration Portal.

UBC Okanagan network in the Upper Campus Health building will undergo network maintenance on Friday, August 19 between 08:00 - 16:00 PT.
During the maintenance, voice, data and wireless services will be periodically unavailable.

UBC Vancouver VoIP phone service will be undergoing maintenance from August 20, 2022, 08:00 PT to August 21, 2022, 06:00 PT. No impact is expected as a result of this change.

BCNET will be performing software upgrades on the Kamloops Q9 core routers on August 21, 2022 from 06:00 to 12:00 PT.

This is expected to impact network connectivity for all EduCloud Server VMs in the Kamloops site as well as EduCloud DR and HA (dr.educloud.ubc.ca) in the Kamloops site. EduCloud Backup BaaS clients will not be able to connect to the baas.educloud.ubc.ca backup target at Kamloops.

Network maintenance will be performed on the Qualtrics survey tool and will result in an application-wide outage of service totaling 60 minutes during a two hour window between 22:00 - 23:59 PT on August 25th. All surveys will be inaccessible to survey owners who want to manage/edit their surveys or retrieve their data. All surveys will also be offline for respondents and any links to active surveys will return an internal server error. All integrations will also be impacted during this service window.
