AccessUBC and Sponsored Guest web application will be undergoing maintenance on June 8, 2023, 10:00-14:00 PT.

There will be no service interruption for users for the duration of the maintenance with the exception of 10:00-10:30 PT where users may be prompted to re-authenticate to AccessUBC.

An upgrade to our existing PRD Mule Load Balancer will take place on June 08, 2023 between 17:00-19:00 PT, which temporarily impacts all Mule applications.

Maintenance will be performed after hours to minimize any potential impacts.

During this time there will be a brief interruption to ALL Mule Exchange API Services for 15 minutes up to 30 minutes whilst updates are performed.

All services will automatically recover.

Note: This change is happening after hours, for 30 min max downtime.

There will be a scheduled TouchNet maintenance on June 09, 2023, 00:00-04:00 PT. During this four-hour period, we expect an outage, and TouchNet will not be accessible.

Planon will be undergoing maintenance on June 13, 2023, between 16:00-23:59 PT as part of the latest upgrade efforts. During this time, Planon will be unavailable for up to 8 hours.

On June 14, 2023, 10:00-11:00 PT, UBC IT will implement a new DMARC (Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting, and Conformance) policy on numerous FASmail email domains. To prevent spoofing, messages sent from these email domain after this date must be sent from FASmail or the UBC Mail Relays. All messages sent from third party servers without SMTP authentication by the FASmail servers or the UBC mail relays may get quarantined by the recipients' mail servers.

Network maintenance is being performed at the Eye Care Centre (VGH). During this service window from June 14, 2023 20:00 - June 15, 2023 00:00 PT; network services will be interrupted briefly and intermittently while physical and logical changes are being performed on the network backbones, the user ports are migrated to the new switching infrastructure and the connectivity is verified.

We are changing Mule VPC and UBC network configuration to move VPC from static VPN to the centralized dynamic VPN via the centralized AWS Transit Gateway. Meanwhile, we are getting rid of VPC peerings between AWS and Mule Anypoint Platform.

Maintenance will be performed after hours to minimize any potential impacts.

During this downtime there will be an interruption for up to 3 hours whilst changes are implemented.

Investigating - As of approximately 9:10 am Wednesday morning, ServiceNow has encountered issues sending outbound emails. Email notifications are currently queued, and will be sent once the issue is resolved. Support teams are currently working with the vendor to resolve the issue.

UBC IT technicians are currently investigating the issue.

This will require addition adjustment to the following use cases' settings for maintaining full functionality if not already configured for TLS\SSL usage.

- Macintosh Outlook client performing recipient lookups (Global Address List) against EAD
- Macintosh workstation logon configured to EAD
- Legacy Windows workstations logon configured to EAD
- Service Applications using EAD service accounts

Scheduled - The email delivery settings on Rundeck PRD will be updated on May 29, 2023 10:00-10:15 PT, and a restart is mandatory to load new configuration. During the restart Rundeck service will be interrupted up to 15 minutes. Rundeck jobs impacted are impacted during the deployment process, and No impact to Mule API,FASMAIL updates from IAM to Workday, CWL creation, SP_PUID lookup.
