Investigating - Users calling in to the UBC Hospital switchboard at 604-822-7121 or Emergency Line 7111 are experiencing a 14 second delay with silence before they will be successfully connected to the switchboard operator.

Investigating - We are currently experiencing an issue affecting ASDM authentication via Cisco ISE in order to manage some departmental ASA firewall contexts.
We are working closely with the vendor to resolve this. Currently a fix or workaround has not been identified. We will provide an update as soon as one is available.

Identified - We have received reports of issues leaving and retrieving voicemail messages at the Okanagan campus. Technicians have investigated and found the cause of the issue. To minimize disruption to phone services during the business day, emergency maintenance will be performed this evening to correct the issue.

Emergency Power System Load-Shedding Verification Test – Pharmacy Building and University Data Center Jul 8, 2026 06:30-08:30 PDT

On Wednesday, July 8, 2026, between 6:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m., a scheduled test of the Pharmacy Building's emergency power system will be conducted. The purpose of this test is to verify the automatic load-shedding functionality of the standby electrical systems when one of the building's two emergency generators is taken out of service.

During the test, brief interruptions may occur to systems served by the Standby power distribution. Emergency and Data Center power systems are expected to remain operational throughout the test, with the Data Center UPS maintaining uninterrupted service. Qualified Operations, Electrical, Controls, BMS, and IT Facilities personnel will be on-site to monitor system performance and respond to any issues.

TouchNet PROD site - Scheduled Maintenance July 17, 2026 - 12:00 a.m. to July 17, 2026 - 04:00 a.m. Jul 17, 2026 00:00-04:00 PDT

The TouchNet PROD site will be undergoing scheduled maintenance. During the update window the TouchNet PROD site will be offline for logging in by staff as a TouchNet user and for customers making new payments. During this time when the payor clicks "pay now" TouchNet will display a screen informing the payor that the system is off line for maintenance and to try again after the system is back online.

Turnitin and Gradescope Scheduled Maintenance — July 18, 2026, 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Pacific Jul 18, 2026 08:00-14:00 PDT

There will be a scheduled Turnitin and Gradescope maintenance outage on Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Pacific. During this period, the https://turnitin.com/ standalone Turnitin tool, the Turnitin integration on Canvas, and Gradescope may have intermittent availability.

The following maintenance activities will be completed:

Upgrade EASD AWS Aurora PostgreSQL Database iecrds-prd-11 from v15.10 to v15.17
Apply AWS OS patches
Release Impact

There may be interruptions to the applications below for up to 5 minutes while the database patches are performed.

Services may be impacted during the upgrade.

EASD RDS may experience an interruption of up to 5 minutes during the upgrade. The read-only instance will remain available, so the impact should be limited to applications or integrations connecting to the read-write instance.
DAF data is expected to remain online throughout the maintenance window.
Mule APIs, including services available through api.ubc.ca, may experience intermittent outages if they connect to the read-write instance or if their connection strings have not been updated to use the standby configuration.
Scheduled Rundeck jobs may be delayed during the maintenance window and will be re-run after the outage, where applicable.
All services are expected to recover automatically after the maintenance is completed.

Fix to automatically hide "Scheduled Exams" that have a corresponding application that has been Cancelled or Refunded after they are scheduled

Scheduled - UBCIT will be performing maintenance on the eSAM component and vault servers on June 24, 2026, 20:00-22:00 PT. This change will affect both UBC campuses.

Users will intermittently not be able to login to any servers managed by eSAM, nor retrieve any credentials via the eSAM Web UI throughout the maintanance window.

Any connections terminated while a component is being rebooted can be reconnected to the secondary node. All connections will be terminated and users won't be able to reconnect while we patch the vault servers (which typically lasts around 30 minutes) during this window.

This is to address the Marketplace "item is not available" error issue. Please note TouchNet has advised this will be completed today due to the impact of this issue and are prioritizing this update to restore full purchasing functionality ahead of the weekend.
