Teknet is working closely with the UBC IT team to assist with network backbone migrations/upgrades for several building networks across campus that currently terminate on an older router pair that is slated for decommission (A21-L21). As part of this decommissioning process, Teknet will be assisting with the migration of the backbone connectivity for the Marine Drive Housing Network (HOUS02) on August 11, 2022, 20:00-20:30 PT. During this change, the existing backbone links will be physically migrated over to a new router pair (A28-L28), followed by QA and testing. The aim of this project is to improve performance and reliability of the Core Routers and thus improving the overall network performance/reliability of the Marine Drive Housing Network.
