Investigating - Kaltura was unavailable through Canvas this morning January 13, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:20 a.m. Pacific time due to a temporary service disruption.

When accessing Canvas’s My Media or Media Gallery next, users will be prompted to authorize Kaltura. This is a legitimate request that will need to be accepted to continue using Kaltura through Canvas.

As part of the upcoming upgrade to Kaltura’s LTI 1.3 integration , users will need to repeat this authorization one more time after Monday January 19 once the upgrade is completed.

Investigating - UBC is aware that our online application on the EducationPlannerBC website is experiencing technical issues. The application is open, but intermittent disruptions may prevent you from accessing the website to submit your application to UBC. We are working with EducationPlannerBC to resolve this matter, but we recommend that you work through your application carefully and save your progress frequently - to ensure your work isn't lost during one of these disruptions. If you experience issues while you're working on your application or if you cannot access the website at all, please take a break and try again a little later. We want to reassure you that these disruptions will not negatively affect your application to UBC. UBC has extended the deadline to apply and you now have until January 20, 2026, at 11:59 pm (PST) to submit your application. We'll update this space with more details as we get them.

If you have applied to UBC since January 12th, you may not be able to login yet due to ongoing technical issues. As long as you've received an email from EPBC confirming that your application to UBC has been submitted then all is well. Once any issues are resolved, UBC will reach out with an email detailing your next steps. Investigating - As of Friday, January 2, there have been intermittent system performance issues with the Official Document Management Tool (ODMT), which are causing students and staff to get an error when trying to generate letters and transcripts.

Some users are receiving an error message of “Error Evaluating UI Expression” or “This student number does not exist, please confirm that the student number entered is correct.”

We are working to resolve this issue. Check this page for updates.

Canvas and Canvas Catalog SCORM will be temporarily unavailable during the scheduled maintenance window, while all other Canvas features remain fully operational.

What is SCORM?

SCORM (Sharable Content Object Reference Model) is an e-learning package format used for interactive learning modules that track learner progress (for example: "click-through" lessons, interactive videos).

Maintenance Window:

Impact:

• During these windows, Canvas and Canvas Catalog SCORM will be unavailable.

On Thursday, February 12, 2026 from 09:00 PT to 17:00 PT, the UBC SharePoint Software as a Service (SaaS) service will be undergoing maintenance. During this maintenance window, SharePoint sites will be accessible as no interruptions to the service are expected.

Okanagan Campus Network Maintenance February 16, 2025, 08:00-22:00 PT Feb 16, 2026 08:00-22:00 PST

Network maintenance will occur for the Okanagan campus on February 16, 2025, 08:00-22:00 PT. During the maintenance window, very short intermittent disruptions to network connectivity will be experienced, including internet, cloud services and remote VPN access.

TouchNet PROD site - Scheduled Maintenance Feb 20, 2026 - 12:00 a.m. to Feb 20, 2026 - 04:00 a.m. Feb 20, 2026 00:00-04:00 PST

The TouchNet PROD site will be undergoing scheduled maintenance. During the update window the TouchNet PROD site will be offline for logging in by staff as a TouchNet user and for customers making new payments. During this time when the payor clicks "pay now" TouchNet will display a screen informing the payor that the system is off line for maintenance and to try again after the system is back online.

UBCIT eSAM Servers Maintenance FEBRUARY 25, 2026, 20:00-22:00 PT Feb 25, 2026 20:00-22:00 PST

UBCIT will be performing maintenance on the eSAM component and vault servers on February 25, 2026, 20:00-22:00 PT. This change will affect both UBC campuses.

Users will intermittently not be able to login to any servers managed by eSAM, nor retrieve any credentials via the eSAM Web UI throughout the maintanance window.

Any connections terminated while a component is being rebooted can be reconnected to the secondary node. All connections will be terminated and users won't be able to reconnect while we patch the vault servers (which typically lasts around 30 minutes) during this window.

1. Introduce Prevention Checks: Validate the accuracy of data in the integration file before it is sent to Workday.
2. Simplify Script Logic: Streamline and refine the logic that compiles data for Workday to reduce the likelihood of errors.
