On October 11, 2022, 18:00 - 21:00 PT, a new email throttling policy will be put in place to improve the security and reliability of the FASmail service. The new policy is not expected to impact users but large email campaigns sent from a user's mailbox may trigger the new policy. More information on this initiative along with throttling limits will be communicated on the CyberSecurity Confidential Communications website located here: hxxps://cc.cybersecurity.ubc.ca

There will be no impact to running workloads and administrators will be able to manage virtual machines via usual remote management methods like RDP and SSH.

Devices using wireless may have short-term difficulty connecting to wireless networks but in most cases will recover quickly. Remediation steps are currently being planned and implemented.
