Scheduled - Network maintenance is being performed at the Leonard S. Klinck & Ponderosa Annex A Buildings, involving replacement of aging network infrastructure. During this service window from November 4, 2025 20:00 - November 5, 2025 04:30 PT; network services will be interrupted briefly and intermittently while physical and logical changes are being performed on the network backbones and while the user ports are migrated to new switching infrastructure.

Investigating - Users are unable to upload documents or attachments when initiating a business process (BP) in Workday and encounter page errors when attempting to submit BP steps. Workday has identified the root cause and is working on a system fix. An update will be provided when more information is available. If urgent, and when possible, users are advised to initiate a business process via the mobile app.

Scheduled - Kivuto, UBC's partner providing software license provisioning, will be updating the ELMS platform on Wednesday, November 5, between 3:00 AM and 6 AM PST as part of ongoing effort to improve user experience. During this time, the Webstore will be placed in "maintenance mode" and will display a message indicating that the Webstore is temporarily unavailable.

University Computer Management System (UCMS) Maintenance for Apple devices (Jamf Pro) will be undergoing routine maintenance on November 8, 2025, 00:00-11:00 PT. During this time Apple devices will not be able to contact the server for updates, however no disruption to the use of Apple devices is expected.

The TouchNet PROD site will be undergoing scheduled maintenance. During the update window the TouchNet PROD site will be offline for logging in by staff as a TouchNet user and for customers making new payments. During this time when the payor clicks "pay now" TouchNet will display a screen informing the payor that the system is off line for maintenance and to try again after the system is back online.

TouchNet indicates that Microsoft reports that service has been restored, and Touchnet systems impacted by the outage are reported to be running normally at this time.

Update - TouchNet has advised Microsoft has deployed a resolution for their Azure issue and that it will take up to 4 more hours for everything to come back online. We should begin regaining access to TouchNet during this period, but access may be intermittent.

Scheduled - UBCIT will be performing maintenance on the eSAM component and vault servers on OCTOBER 22, 2025, 20:00-23:00 PT. This change will affect both UBC campuses.

Users will intermittently not be able to login to any servers managed by eSAM, nor retrieve any credentials via the eSAM Web UI throughout the maintanance window.

Any connections terminated while a component is being rebooted can be reconnected to the secondary node. All connections will be terminated and users won't be able to reconnect temporarily while we patch and reboot the vault servers (which typically lasts 30 minutes) during this window.

2. All jobs will be queued. The scheduler will not start any job if its requested walltime overlaps with the
maintenance window, even if resources are available. Only jobs expected to finish before downtime
begins will be scheduled, if resources allow.

3. In rare cases, running jobs may need to be resubmitted. Please checkpoint or complete your jobs before
the maintenance window to avoid lost progress, and check your job queue afterward.
